RAILWAY TRACKS

HIGH-QUALITY TREATED SLEEPERS PROVIDING DURABILITY AND SAFETY FOR RAILWAY TRACKS.

Wooden railway sleepers are square cross-section beams used as a primary support and fastening element for rail lines in the upper structure of the track. The production of railway sleepers uses coniferous wood, which has natural resistance to moisture and an optimal balance of strength, weight, and flexibility.

Technical characteristics and dimensions of wooden sleepers
The technical characteristics and dimensions of wooden sleepers meet established standard criteria, ensuring the reliability, long service life, and safety of railway tracks. Moisture resistance and prevention of wood fiber decay are significantly enhanced by the use of antiseptic impregnating compounds. The wooden beam with longitudinal grain orientation has a length of 2750 mm and can be used on both standard and narrow-gauge tracks. The width and height of broad-gauge railway sleepers are selected according to track installation and repair standards, depending on the assigned category.

Types and characteristics of sleepers
Characteristics of impregnated wooden sleepers by application area on tracks of specific categories:

  • Type I and II: Used for the installation and repair of mainline tracks with speeds exceeding 100 km/h.
  • Type III and IV: Applied on sorting tracks, access roads, station shunting tracks, humps, and sidings for rolling stock.
  • Type V: Used on internal enterprise lines, for laying shunting sections with low loads, and on technical lines.
